Disembark at Rydal to enjoy lunch at the nearby Alexander Hotel which was built in 1914 and is the last remaining of six that once graced this town.

TARANA
Join family and friends at the nearby Tarana Hotel for lunch. Established in 1873 in the picturesque Tarana Valley in Central West NSW, the Tarana Hotel is described as a hidden gem!

Bathurst
Enjoy approximately 2.5hrs exploring this delightful town with much to see within a short walking distance from the station. Perhaps even simply head across the road to The Victoria Hotel for lunch. Established in 1876, it has its own distinct style being part-pub, restaurant, gallery, live music venue & boutique hotel. Additionally there are further restaurants and cafes on Keppel St.
The Bathurst Rail Museum is right next door to the station and is well worth a visit. Learn about the rich railway history of the Central West through artefacts, photos and a spectacular model train layout of the Main West Line showing how the line used to look between Tarana and Bathurst in the 1950s-60s.
For those who love galleries the Bathurst Art Galley is featuring a unique exhibition called CREATION, by Deborah Kelly.
