Join us on the exciting and unique adventure as we head cross-country to Binnaway. The chance to travel this scenic bush line is rare these days... A former stop on the former Gwabegar Line, Binnaway is a charming little town situated on the Castlereagh River.
Our train will be hauled by our 130 year old 'P' Class steam locomotive 3237, assisted by a heritage 47 class diesel. A limited range of refreshments will be available onboard for purchase or you are welcome to bring a picnic hamper with you. Complimentary water will be available.
At Binnaway a BBQ lunch will be available for purchase close to the station and the town is a 500-800m walk away for those wishing to explore. A souvenir stall will also be available and the engine cab will be open for inspection.
This is an awesome day out for the whole family and a group of friends. Why not take an entire compartment (up to 8 seats) for a group?
This is a thoroughly unique opportunity to travel by steam on a rarely explored railway line.
