Join us for a fabulous day out for Australia Day aboard our heritage train hauled by one of our heritage diesel locomotives. Settle back in our 1930s carriages and take in the passing scenery of the Central West.

After boarding the train at Orange settle back as we travel at a leisurely pace to the small town of Manildra, the Gem of the West! We have two venues you can choose from to dine at for lunch - The Amusu Theatre or Royal Hotel.

- The Amusu Theatre ticket includes a lunch, entry to the theatre and a showing of a classic Aussie short film. (BYO Alcohol is acceptable at this venue)

- The Royal Hotel ticket includes includes lunch. You will have access to the dining room and the outside upstair verandah. (BYO Alcohol is not accepted at this venue)

Passengers from either Orange or Manildra may also with to continue to Parkes where you will have a couple of hours to explore as you wish.

MANILDRA

If you choose to alight at Manildra you will have approximately 4hrs to spend here before rejoining the train at 4:30pm. The train stops opposite Kiewa Street, the main street of the town, making exploration easy!

Our included lunch options:

Royal Hotel - 2 minute (150m) walk from the station.

Amusu Theatre - 5 minute (250m) walk from the station.

PARKES

Passengers alighting at Parkes will have over two hours to explore as they please. Several pubs and the local Services Club. We suggest calling ahead to make a booking for lunch to avoid disappointment. Clarinda Street (the main street) is an easy 5-10 min walk from the station with shops, cafes and supermarkets.

TIMETABLE

This tour starts from and returns to Orange Station. You are requested to be at the station at least 20 minutes prior to departure. Departure times are indicative and may change once timings are confirmed with Track Operators.
