Running Program 2008

Please Note: - Due to the Closure of the line from Blayney to Cowra, there will be no more LVR heritage trains running on this section.

19^th - 20^th July 2008: Private Charter to Yass Junction.

LVR will be operating a Heritage Diesel (4701) and cars (FHG, ABS, FS & EAM) private charter train to Yass Junction via Harden, and return via Young over this weekend. As this is a Private Charter, LVR will not be taking any bookings.

Indicative Timetable is as follows;

Saturday 19/7/2008. Our train departs Cowra at 10.00am for Yass Junction, stopping at Koorawatha at 10.40am, Young at 12.10ppm, Harden at 1.27pm and arriving at Yass Junction at 3.50pm.

Sunday 20/9/2007. We depart Yass Junction very early at 6.00am for Cowra, stopping at Harden at 7.30am, Young at 8.40am, Koorawatha at 11.10am and arrive at Cowra at 12.00pm.

26^th - 27^th July 2008: Private Charter to Forbes.

LVR will be operating a Heritage Railmotor private charter train to Forbes via Harden, and return over this weekend. As this is a Private Charter, LVR will not be taking any bookings.

Indicative Timetable is as follows;

Saturday 26/7/2008. Our train departs Cowra at 9.00am for Harden, stopping at Koorawatha at 9.40am, passing Young at 11.10ppm, and arriving at Harden at 11.15pm. Once the connection with the XPT is made our train then departs Harden at 12.30pm for Forbes, Stopping at Wallendbeen 12.50pm, Cootamundra West at 2.10pm, Stockinbingal at 2.55pm, Bribbaree at 3.40pm, Caragabal at 5.15pm, Wirrinya at 6.13pm and arrive at Forbes at 7.00pm

Sunday 27/9/2007. Sunday will see our train depart Forbes at 8.30am for Harden, stopping at Wirrinya at 9.15am, Caragabal at 9.40am, Bribbaree at 11.10am, Stockinbingal at 12.00pm, Cootamundra West at 1.31pm and arrive at Harden at 2.20pm. After the connection with the XPT is made our train then departs Harden at 3.00pm for Cowra, arriving there at 6.30pm.

9^th – 10^th August 2008: Local Running with Steam Loco and Cars.

Steam Locomotive power will again be in action this weekend as we travel to Noonbinna and Koorawatha on both Saturday and Sunday. Fares for the trips only vary from $5.00 adults & $3.00 child to Noonbinna, to $12.00 adults & $6.00 child to Koorawatha. Family tickets to Noonbinna are $13.00, and to Koorawatha is $30.00. Concession tickets To Noonbinna are $4.00, and to Koorawatha is $9.00. Tickets will be available at Cowra Station on the day, Bookings are not required.

13^th & 14^th September 2008: Local Running with Steam Loco and Cars.
