For the first time in many decades, express steam locomotive 5917 returns to the North Coast of NSW for an exciting month of visits and rides to many regional centres and local communities! Come along and jump aboard as Lachlan Valley Railway takes you back to the nostalgic days of rail travel, seated in compartment carriages with open windows and feeling the sensation of the travelling breeze as well as the smell of burning coal and steam, this is a rare opportunity to experience the essence of steam trains, like they were on the North Coast!

5917 and its fleet of heritage restored passenger carriages will progress to many North Coast regional centres and local communities over the month of June, and is coming to a town near you! Below is a listing of its main running basis and visiting stations where you can bring the kids, grandkids and the rest of the family for a fun filled day out! Timetable and Booking Information can be found below based on the regional centre visited:

After Grafton, 5917 and its heritage train continues North to Casino, and up to Kyogle, with local shuttles operating out of Casino and Kyogle as far North as to Kyogle Loop, the closest it will get to the Queensland Border on the NSW Rail Network.
